The aims of the network are to unify forces on critical targets for Information System researchers in co-evolving environment of Semantic Web and Enterprises. Because of great variety of methods, tools and researchers profiles involved in this field, two main problems are: lack of integration of different methodologies and tools, and poor collaboration between different expertise groups.
The main targets of this network are:
- Integration of knowledge-based methods into Web and Enterprise application development;
- Raising level of abstraction in conceptual modelling, bridging EER, ORM, UML methodologies with ontology design;
-Evolvement of business process modelling methodologies, alignment with service-based software architectures;
- Creation of adequate processes for requirements engineering and networked Enterprise systems development.
Planned activities of this project (thematic workshops and lectures; exchange of ideas, tools and methodologies; cooperation for preparation of joint project funded under the Framework Programme) are directed for: finding common ground for coalescence of strong scientific results of participants to respond to current challenges of enterprises and social communities needs; to train at least 15 doctoral and post-doctoral reseachers for core techniques of every partner; to involve them into prolonged inter-disciplinary colaborative research, promote leadership skills, ensuring career expansion in headmost fields.
